Wardlow Reportedly Appears Backstage at AEW Double or Nothing

At one point, Wardlow was seen as one of AEW’s top rising stars. He started off in AEW as MJF’s bodyguard, and eventually turned against him to the delight of fans. After that, he would win the TNT Championship on three occasions and associate himself with factions like the Undisputed Kingdom & Don Callis Family, but he hasn’t had a match with the company since April 2024, where he lost a World Championship Match against Samoa Joe. During that time away he was able to film a season of American Gladiators. He suffered a pec injury during a return at Forbidden Door 2025.
PWInsider reports that Wardlow was backstage at Sunday’s Double or Nothing event. It should be noted that Wardlow was also backstage at AEW Revolution back in March. He said in an interview last month that he’s almost ready to come back. We will soon see if Wardlow is given the opportunity to be the breakout star many thought he could be back in 2022.
