William Regal Praises Roman Reigns As Someone To Study In Terms Of Reactions

William Regal says that wrestlers who want to improve their game should study Roman Reigns’ reactions. As noted, last night’s episode of WWE Raw saw Reigns put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Penta. Reigns retained the title, but not before the luchador had Reigns on the ropes on a number of occasions.

Regal posted to his Twitter account on Tuesday to praise Reigns’ work, noting that his ability to react in the ring should be studied by wrestlers. He wrote:

“If any talent of any standard want to really up their quality of drawing in your audience then study in great detail Roman Reigns facials, reacting (I would say selling but selling is acting and this was in a different world of that ) and body motion from last nights bout against Penta on Raw. Masterful.”

“Look at the range of emotion on Roman’s face through this. He realizes he’s trapped, the looks to Penta just using his eyes while giving a perfect tv shot for the audience watching, then the fear as he knows he is in major trouble and his arm is going to suffer. Perfect reacting to the situation.”

Regal also took time to throw some praise PAC’s way, writing:

“I’m on a plane going home from Mexico and on it with Pac. 1 of my favorite people in the Wrestling. IMO the best Wrestler to come out of England since the 80’s and they were Rollerball Rocco, Marty Jones and Fit Finlay. That’s no knock on the incredible UK talent around today but I come from a time and style where being credible was part of the job. Pac is the only wrestler that when I see him wrestle I think he can beat me up and his wrestling is so much more aggressive and credible. Again, there’s brilliant UK wrestlers who I rate highly and am huge fans of but not as much as him. That’s just me and my opinion. Neville v Aleister Black from the UK tournament in Blackpool is one of my favourite bouts I saw live in the last 20 years. Last nights Roman v Penta rates up there with it. No need to argue as I don’t read comments.”
