A new report has shed further light on early creative plans for the main events of WrestleMania 43 Night One & Two.
As noted, WrestleVotes on Fightful Select reported earlier this month that Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi is a frontrunner to headline one of the two nights of The Show of Shows next April. The report also cited a source as claiming that Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk could be the other main event. However, WrestleVotes noted that it was merely an opinion from the concerned source on what they believe should happen and not what is being planned.
In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON) [via F4WOnline], Dave Meltzer backed up WrestleVotes’ report, noting that Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi is indeed being planned as a main event and that a SummerSlam 2026 rematch between Cody and Punk is not planned, as of today.
Roman Reigns is the current World Heavyweight Champion on WWE RAW, while Sami Zayn holds the Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown. Cody and Punk battled for the Undisputed Title at SummerSlam 2026 Night One, with Punk emerging victorious. Punk has since lost the belt to Sami Zayn. Meanwhile, Oba Femi called out Reigns at the Money in the Bank post-show. You can check his comments HERE.
WrestleMania 43 is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2027, though WWE has yet to announce the dates for the event.
