Former AEW star Royce Keys (formerly Powerhouse Hobbs) made his WWE debut in January, competing in the men’s Rumble match at the 2026 Royal Rumble. However, beyond some podcast appearances, Keys has yet to make his presence known on either SmackDown or Raw, only competing in dark matches since his WWE debut. During this week’s edition of WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select (via WrestlingNews.co), it was indicated that WWE doesn’t have any creative plans in place for Keys despite his impactful debut at the Rumble.

WrestleVotes Radio noted that Keys was in attendance at last week’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings. However, it was stated that WWE’s creative team has “nothing” planned for Keys at the moment. WrestleVotes Radio said on WWE’s plans for Keys, “Nothing. Big question mark. Absolutely nothing. You know, we had speculated that SmackDown was the place for him. It certainly does still seem like that’s going to be his home. I know he was backstage Friday night. Saw some pictures of him. Don’t know when he’s showing up on TV. Hopefully, they have an idea. Hopefully, this is part of the plan.”

Keys made an appearance on the What’s Your Story? With Stephanie McMahon podcast and clips of the appearance were shown during a recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown. However, beyond that, it appears that creative has “nothing” for Royce Keys.

It’s currently unknown when Royce Keys will be appearing on WWE TV again following his initial debut at the Royal Rumble. As noted, he worked a dark match against Nathan Frazer last month on WWE SmackDown.
