WWE Faces Fan Backlash For Using AI in NXT Vignette

TKO President Mark Shapiro recently revealed that the usage of AI is a “major priority” for both efficiency and productivity. This has since led to backlash from fans on social media.
The backlash was further fueled on this week’s episode of NXT, where the company aired a vignette in which ZARIA recapped her rivalry with Sol Ruca.
The former friends ended their feud last Tuesday with a brutal Last Woman Standing match, which ZARIA won after she threw Sol off the top of the stage through a table.
Fans on social media were quick to notice the unnatural textures, awkward facial details, and weird transitions, common with AI-generated content.

Fans have since voiced their displeasure, accusing the WWE of “shoving AI” in their faces. You can check out their comments HERE.
This is not the first time that WWE has used AI for vignettes. The company used it to showcase the OG El Grande Americano’s history while introducing the character last summer.
