WWE Confirms First Main Events For Upcoming European Tour

WWE has confirmed the first advertised main events for its upcoming European tour leading into Clash in Italy on May 31. The company released updated lineups for live events scheduled in Liverpool, England, on May 28 and Strasbourg, France, on June 2, with both shows headlined by Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Championship against Gunther.

The May 28 Liverpool event will also feature a Street Fight between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. An Intercontinental Championship match between Penta and Dominik Mysterio has also been announced for that card. Additional names currently advertised for Liverpool include Oba Femi, Rhea Ripley, Trick Williams, Charlotte Flair, Tiffany Stratton, and Danhausen.

For the June 2 stop in Strasbourg, WWE has announced another Street Fight, this time featuring Jacob Fatu against Drew McIntyre. The Strasbourg lineup also includes appearances from Seth Rollins, The Vision, Oba Femi, Rhea Ripley, Trick Williams, Charlotte Flair, and Tiffany Stratton. These are the currently advertised matches and appearances for the opening stretch of WWE’s European tour.

The tour takes place just days before Clash in Italy, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, and is expected to continue several major storylines tied to WWE’s current championship picture and post-WrestleMania direction. WWE has continued expanding its international schedule over the last year, with Europe remaining one of the company’s largest markets for live events outside North America.
