Latest On Plans For WWE Live Events This Summer

WWE is bringing back a house show tour for the summer, and according to a new report more live events could potentially be on the way. As previously reported, the company announced earlier this month that they would be holding 10 live events across the US this summer. This is the first summer live event tour in the US in recent years, and is reportedly being done to get younger talent more reps in front of a crowd.

According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, sources have indicated that the summer tour will determine whether a more extensive tour in the winter could happen. The determination will be made based on how financially successful the summer tour is, and how talent’s health holds up.

The report adds that select main event stars were approached about working the shows and had the choice to decline if they so chose. It is expected that 25 – 30 talent will be used per show.

WWE kicks off their live event series on July 11 Las Cruces, New Mexico. It runs through August 30th in Charleston, South Carolina.
