Former WWE NIL talent AJ Ferrari has found himself in legal trouble again, as he was arrested in Nebraska on an outstanding warrant. According to The Daily Nebraskan, Ferrari was arrested on Saturday and booked on a fugitive from justice charge.
According to the report, Ferrari — who wrestles as a senior for the University of Nebraska — was pulled over for allegedly speeding on Friday. He was detained on an outstanding warrant from last October, where he allegedly evaded arrest in Dallas, Texas. A state patrol spokesperson says Ferrari was clocked going 90 mph.
The university said in a statement, “The Nebraska Athletic Department is aware of the arrest of AJ Ferrari on Friday night related to an outstanding warrant in Texas. We are awaiting more information from legal authorities involved and have no additional comment at this time.”
Ferrari was previously signed to WWE under an NIL deal. This is not his first time in trouble with the law; he was charged with a count of sexual battery in 2022. Those charges, which led to his being dropped from Oklahoma State’s wrestling team, were dropped in 2023. The DA in the case cited “vicious attacks on multiple forms of social media, continuing trauma, blame, harassment, ostracism and indirect threats to her career” as the reason that the victim decided to drop the case.
