The status of WWE’s upcoming premium live events in Saudi Arabia has been a subject of speculation in recent months due to major unrest in the Middle East. WWE’s next PLE in Saudi Arabia is Crown Jewel, which is set for November 7. The promotion is also set to present WrestleMania 43 from Riyadh in April, though its date has yet to be announced.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), Dave Meltzer commented on WWE’s potential plans for both PLEs as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East. Meltzer said that despite the travel advisory issued by the US State Department, both shows are set to go on as planned as of today.
According to Meltzer, Crown Jewel and WrestleMania 43 are worth $60 and $100 million, respectively, so unless the situation becomes too dangerous, WWE is expected to go ahead with the events as planned. He added that while WWE will have backup plans for unforeseeable circumstances, it will wait until the last possible minute before announcing a change in venue.
Regarding recent reports about Las Vegas being a backup venue for ‘Mania 43, Meltzer reported that the concerned authorities have ruled out the possibility, citing a lack of dates in April 2026.
