WWE Road To Royal Rumble, Glasgow, Scotland, Results: Drew McIntyre, CM Punk Compete & More

The packed OVO Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland, played host to WWE’s Road to Royal Rumble Tour tonight. The event saw newly crowned Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre retain the title against Shinsuke Nakamura. As expected, The Scottish Warrior received a hero’s welcome from his home fans as he walked out with the coveted title wrapped around his waist.

Drew also cut a passionate promo, noting how he finally fulfilled his promise of bringing the WWE Championship to Scotland after years of disappointment. He also sang ‘O Flower of Scotland’ with the crowd.

Also at the event, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk retained his gold against The Vision’s Bronson Reed. Jey Uso defeated Finn Balor in a singles match, while Balor’s Judgment Day stablemate Liv Morgan picked up yet another victory over Lyra Valkyria.

The New Day had another disappointing night, as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods failed to beat former World Tag Team Champions Dragon Lee and AJ Styles. Speaking of The Phenomenal One, his upcoming opponent and the man who made John Cena tap out, Gunther, bested former IC Champion Sami Zayn in a singles contest.

Alexa Bliss defeated Kairi Sane in a one-on-one contest, while The Wyatt Sicks pulled one back on Solo Sikoa’s MFTs after suffering a defeat in an eight-man tag team match on SmackDown.
