It’s official: WWE Smackdown is making its return to a two hour format starting next week. It was confirmed on Friday night’s episode of WWE Smackdown that the show will be dropping its third hour starting with next week’s show, which takes place on July 3rd. Michael Cole made the news official during the broadcast.
The news is not particularly surprising as USA Network had listed next week’s episode as running two hours. The news was first reported by Wrestling Observer Radio at the start of the month.
WWE Smackdown similarly started 2025 as a three-hour show and then moved back to two hours starting on July 4th. USA Network will air Everything On The Menu With Braun Strowman in the 10 PM ET hour starting next week, moving it back from its 11 PM ET timeslot.
