WrestleMania 42 ticket sales are currently tracking below last year’s pace at a similar point on the calendar, according to figures reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The two-night event will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 18 and April 19.

As of the latest update, Night 1 has 38,711 tickets sold, including both paid and complimentary tickets. Night 2 stands at 40,333, bringing the combined total to 79,044. This represents a year-over-year decline of 18.8%. The gap had narrowed due to the 31.6% sale two weeks ago, which pulled it to 13.3% behind last year, but ticket sales have struggled since despite a 25% off sale and the announcement of John Cena as the show’s host, causing the drop back to 18.8% behind last year.

Night 1 is scheduled to feature Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton in the main event. Night 2 is expected to include Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk.

Secondary-market get-in prices are approximately $179 for Night 1 and $199 for Night 2. Compared to last year, Night 1 ticket prices are down 21.5% on the secondary market, while Night 2 prices are down only 9.1% thanks to the strength of Reigns vs. Punk.

Dave Meltzer noted that while WrestleMania 42 is still expected to draw large crowds, the April 17 episode of WWE SmackDown at T-Mobile Arena has only 5,749 tickets sold while the April 20 episode of WWE RAW after WrestleMania has only 7,329 tickets sold. The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony has 2,059 tickets sold.
