Latest on Plans for Remaining WrestleMania 42 Matches

The lineup for WrestleMania 42 is currently sitting at 12 matches, and a new report has some details on some other additions being planned. As reported, there was an expectation that Monday’s angle with IshowSpeed and The Vision was setting up a six-man tag team match for the PLE. Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that this is the case with the trio teaming up to face The Usos and LA Knight.

The report adds that there are additional names being considered from AAA and Smackdown for the WWE Intercontinental Championship match. That match was made official on Monday’s Raw with Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Je’Von Evans, and Rusev all set to compete. More names have been expected to be added to the match since it was announced.

Finally, there is not yet an update on whether Carmelo Hayes will get a match on the show. However, the report notes that WWE is aware of the online criticism toward Hayes being left out of the US Championship picture at the shows. Hayes lost the US Title to Sami Zayn on last week’s SmackDown, and Zayn will defend against Trick Williams at the show.

The site notes that the current working plan is for 14 matches between the two nights, though, as always, that can change and be adjusted. You can see the card as it currently stands below for WrestleMania 42, which is set to take place on April 18th and 19th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will air live on ESPN Unlimited in the US and on Netflix internationally.
