Multi-time WWE Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods has provided another update on his shoulder injury.
As noted previously, Kofi Kingston announced during the February 16, 2026, episode of Monday Night RAW that Xavier Woods has been dealing with a shoulder injury for the past three months.
Later, Woods provided an update on his recovery status during a conversation with Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone, stating that he felt ‘ok.’
Speaking to O’Shea Jackson and TJ Henderson on No-Contest Wrestling, Woods provided another update, revealing that he has a couple of tears in his shoulder. The New Day is hopeful that physical therapy will suffice and that it won’t require surgery.
“My shoulder has apparently gone through the meat grinder. I have a couple of tears in there. We’re hoping that it’s just physical therapy, and I’ll be alright. If not, then ya boy will have to get cut open. We’ll see how it goes. I’m positive. I’m optimistic. If it is surgery, then that’s what it is. Everything happens for a reason,” Woods said.

Xavier last wrestled at the Royal Rumble 2026 pre-show, where he, Kofi Kingston, and Grayson Waller lost a six-man tag team match to The Motor City Machine Guns and Shinsuke Nakamura. He appeared on this week’s RAW wearing a sling.
