The Young Bucks Rumored To Be on Their Final In-Ring Contracts

During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that there’s been talk that The Young Bucks’ current contract with the promotion might be their last one. Additionally, Matt Jackson of the duo has already thought about calling it a career.

Both Matt and Nick Jackson are reportedly “set for life” with the money they’ve earned from their careers. Meltzer explained (via F4WOnline.com), “Aside from Page, I’m not sure how much longer any of them are gonna go, because Matt considered stopping. Matt’s in his 40s, and they’re set. All of them, they’re all set for life. They’ve made a lot of money.”

About the Bucks possibly being on their last contract, Meltzer continued, “I’ve heard it discussed that this might be their last contract. You know, people always say that and then there’s so much money thrown at you afterwards to stay, so you always do. But, like I said, we’ll see what happens when the deal’s up. I mean, Adam Page will probably still wrestle for many more years.”

Back in August 2023, AEW announced that The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Bucks, and Hangman Page) all signed new multiyear contracts with the promotion. At the time, the deals were rumored to be “at least four years” in length.

The Young Bucks are currently slated to challenge Adam Copeland and Christian Cage for the AEW World Tag Team Titles at AEW All In London 2026. The match goes down later this weekend on August 30 at Wembley Stadium. It will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
