Zoey Serrano Reflects On Why She Didn’t Have Great Promos In WWE

Zoey Serrano was not known for top-tier promos in WWE, and she knows that’s probably why she’s not there anymore. The former Zoey Stark was brought to the main roster via the Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus feud in 2023, aligning with Stratus. Serrano was known for having good matches, but was not known for her promos.

Serrano acknowledged that her promos didn’t connect with the audience in her appearance on Ring The Belle. She added that she would probably still be with WWE if her promos were better, and pointed out that it was a lack of experience. She agreed that the fact that she was dueling on the mic with Stratus and Lynch contributed to the problem. You can see highlights below:

“No, they definitely did not [connect with the audience]… Am I still working there? I think if my promos were better, I would be probably in a better place. And that’s okay. I just figure out what I need to work on, what I need to focus on.”

On Her Promos Looking Worse Because She Was Working With Lynch & Stratus:

“[They are] masters. I mean, of course my promos are going to suck compared to them. Like, they are masters and they know what they’re doing. They’ve been doing it for so long and they’ve had so many promos. I’ve only had one in NXT, in-ring promo. Two on the main roster. Now think about that for a second. Like, if you’re in front of millions of people right now [and you have to promo battle Lynch]. It’s crazy. But you know, you get thrown to the wolves sometimes, or really just throw throw you in and like, ‘All right,
sink or swim. Let’s see what happens.'”
