Holly Holm’s Agent Says They Agreed to a Fight with Cyborg, Just Not at 145

Holly Holm’s agent says that Holm and her team were game to fight Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino, but not at the weight limit the latter wanted. Lenny Fresquez spoke with MMAjunkie and said that despite the fact that Dana White said both fighters turned down the potential fight for different reasons, Holm did accept it at certain weight levels.

“We make decisions as a team,” Fresquez said. “We accepted the Cyborg fight up to a certain weight limit. On two different occasions, we went up on weight, and [Cyborg] turned them down.”

Fresquez said Holm agreed to fights at at 136 and then 138 pounds, adding, “We did that as a team. As a team, we didn’t want to go up as high 145 pounds.”
