The Opps are still your AEW World Trios Champions following AEW Dynamite thanks to MVP getting revenge on Ricochet. Wednesday night’s show saw Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs defend their Trios Championships against Ricocht and the Gates Of Agony. The champions retained after MVP hit Ricochet with his cane, allowing the Opps to hit all their finishers for the win.
After the match, The Hurt Syndicate attacked Ricochet and the Gates as they were leaving the ring. The attack was revenge for Ricochet and the Gates fighting with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to cost them the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Forbidden Door.
