UPDATED: TNA Running Out of Time to Get Financing For TV & Bound For Glory?

UPDATE: According to Pwinsider.com, Dixie Carter has had more talks with WWE over the last week or so regarding a possible deal. The site also states that the sale situation had become complicated (similar to the previous report) and that Carter is free to sell to whomever she wants. There’s still the chance that Billy Corgan can make a deal, but the site adds that, “the reality is this, the fuse on the TNA bomb is close to the end.”

ORIGINAL: On this morning’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is reportedly back in the mix to acquire TNA’s assets, that there’s no money to fund this week’s television and PPV, and that while Billy Corgan is trying to buy the company, the process has become complicated, something Corgan had previously said himself. There is no deal in place at this time. The feeling is that the Corgan deal could take weeks to finalize, and that the company doesn’t have weeks because of Bound for Glory being on Sunday and TV set to tape for days after the PPV.

They have to get the deal done by Friday so that they can have everything taken care of by the end of business in order to put on the Bound For Glory PPV. With WWE being back in the picture, if they buy the company they are done because WWE is buying the tape library. They would likely also take some of the roster, but TNA as we know it would be done. Meltzer adds that TNA is millions of dollars in debt, and the debt amount is more than what the company would sell for.

More on the story as it develops.
