– ESPN has released a new trailer for their 30 For 30 documentary This Was The XFL. The Charlie Ebersol-directed documentary is set to premiere on ESPN and the WatchESPN app on February 2nd at 9 PM ET.
The documentary is described as follows: “A bold challenge, a fearless experiment and ultimately, a spectacular failure. In 2001, sports entertainment titans Dick Ebersol and Vince McMahon used the marketing behemoths of their respective companies — NBC and WWE — and launched the XFL. It captured headlines and a sense of undeniable anticipation about what was to come.”
