UPDATED: WWE Not Factoring Brock Lesnar Into Merchandise Plans
UPDATE: WWE has commented on this story, issuing a statement to WZ that reads “There is no truth to this report.”
ORIGINAL: WWE has instructed the merchandise department not to make new merchandise for Brock Lesnar. The report comes from The Wrestling Observer, who say that the department has instead been told to make new Sheamus merchandise.
On its face, the news would suggest that Lesnar’s post-WrestleMania future is in doubt and that Sheamus is in line for a push. Of course this is just a hint of such possibilities and far from confirmation, so take it with that in mind.
The current belief is that Lesnar will leave the company after WrestleMania and give MMA one more go. His contract is up after WrestleMania and there is expected to be a bidding way between WWE, the UFC and Bellator.
