More Details On WWE-Produced Series In Middle East
– As we reported earlier today, Stephanie McMahon was in Dubai to help launch a new WWE-produced series for the Middle East. PWInsider reports that WWE and OSN have sent out a press release revealing more details for their program. It will be called WWE wal3ooha and debuts on May 4 at 8 PM (KSA) on OSN Sports Action 1 HD. This is part of WWE’s strategy of making localized content with their international TV partners, announced at the Business Partner Summit during Wrestlemania weekend. They will also produce a show for Fox Sports Latin America.
“Wal3ooha” means “light it up.” It will be hosted by Moein Al Bastaki and Nathalie Mamo, who will give exclusive interviews and highlights from matches for fans in the area. After it airs, fans can catch it through OSN Play and OSN On Demand. In addition to highlights from WWE programming, it’ll have localized Arabic WWE content, created exclusively for the region. It’s produced from OSN Studios in Dubai.
Stephanie McMahon said: “We are excited to partner with OSN to bring our passionate fans original and localized content featuring their favorite WWE Superstars ’WWE Wal3ooha’ provides a new destination for our fans in the Middle East to enjoy WWE’s unique blend of action-packed, family-fun entertainment.“
