Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz Returning For Big Little Lies Season Two
Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoe Kravitz will reprise their roles on the second season of Big Little Lies. HBO announced on Friday that the three actresses will return for the second season. All three signed new deals to return, as the first season was originally intended to be a single-run event series.
Jane Chapman (Woodley) will be processing Perry’s sudden death in the storyline, according to the network, while trying to build a new life for herself and her son, Ziggy. Dern will return as Renata Klein, a woman who will be faced with new challenges in her marriage. Bonnie Carlson (Kravitz) will confront her past while struggling to come to terms with Perry’s death.
The three are joining Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman as returning stars for the show. Meryl Streep is also signing onto a new role in the series as Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Alexander Skarsgård’s Perry Wright. Mary arrives in Monterey concerned for the well-being of her grandchildren following the events of the first season.
