Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David reportedly yelled at lawyer Alan Dershowitz over his ties to the Trump administration, reports Page Six. The two apparently ran into each other at the Chilmark General Store in Martha’s Vineyard and when Dershowitz greeted David, David walked away from him, leading Dershowitz to say that the two could still talk.

Page Six says that David ended up calling Dershowitz “disgusting” for his continued closeness to former Trump Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the rest of the “enclave” while Dershowitz noted to David that Pompeo is one of his former students at Harvard Law.

Their alleged exchange is below:

Dershowitz: “We can still talk, Larry.”
David: “No. No. We really can’t. I saw you. I saw you with your arm around [Former Trump Secretary of State Mike] Pompeo! It’s disgusting!”
Dersh: “He’s my former student [at Harvard Law]. I greet all of my former students that way. I can’t greet my former students?”
David: “It’s disgusting. Your whole enclave — it’s disgusting. You’re disgusting!”

Dershowitz confirmed the exchange to Page Six and noted that he and David used to be friends before Dershowitz started working with the Trump administration. He added that he helped get one of David’s daughters into college and once represented David in a legal dispute.

Dershowitz added that David “screamed” and “yelled” at him and that he was worried that David might have a stroke.

“Larry is a knee-jerk radical,” Dershowitz said. “He takes his politics from Hollywood. He doesn’t read a lot. He doesn’t think a lot.”

Dershowitz said he has lost many friends since he defended former President Trump in his first impeachment, but noted that he’s a Democrat and voted for President Joe Biden.
