Disney Delays Avatar and Star Wars Films, Schedules New Alien Movie

Disney has delayed several of their high-profile blockbusters, pushing the upcoming Avatar and Star Wars sequels back and scheduling a new Alien entry. THR reports that the studio has made several changes to their release schedule that includes all three upcoming Avatar films along with two untitled Star Wars entries.

Also included in the list of changes are the official dates for the Alien film, which arrives on August 16th, 2024; and the Moana live-action film which is set to release on June 27th, 2025.

* The Amateur to release on November 8th, 2024
* Avatar 3 delayed from December 20th, 2024 to December 19th, 2025
* Moana to release on June 27th, 2025
* Untitled Star Wars delayed from December 19th, 2025 moves to May 22nd, 2026
* Untitled Star Wars to release on December 18th, 2026
* Avatar 4 delayed from December 18th, 2026 to December 21st, 2029
* Avatar 5 delayed from December 22nd, 2028 to December 19th, 2031
