Ryan Kiera Armstrong To Play New Slayer In Buffy The Vampire Slayer Revival

Into every new generation a slayer is born, and it’s Ryan Kiera Armstrong for the the Buffy The Vampire Slayer revival. Sarah Michelle Gellar announced on Thursday that Armstrong (Star Wars: Skeleton Crew) will play the new Slayer in Hulu’s pilot for the upcoming series.
Armstrong joins Gellar in the series, with the latter reprising her role as Buffy Summers. Gellar is also an executive producer alongside Nora and Lilla Zuckerman, who also writing for the show.
The caption for the Instagram video, which saw Gellar telling Armstrong she had been cast, reads:
“I want to introduce you to @ryankarmstrong From the moment I saw Ryan’s audition, I knew there was only one girl that I wanted by my side. To have that kind of emotional intelligence , and talent, at such a young age is truly a gift. The bonus is that her smile lights up even the darkest room. Welcome to #NewSunnydale #btvs”
Details on the show, which officially does not have a title and is just being called the “Untitled Buffyverse Pilot” as of yet, are still not known. Other details on Armstrong’s role besides being a slayer is also under wraps.
