More Details On Konnan’s Health Status Following Hospitalization Reports

A new report has some additional context on Konnan following reports of his hospitalization and leg amputation. As reported on Saturday, the AAA creative team member and WCW alumnus had been hospitalized San Diego, California. It had been reported by Mexican sports outlet RECORD that Konnan had his leg amputated and was said to be in “delicate health.” It must be noted that the reports have yet to be officially confirmed and that no announcement has been made as to his status.

On Sunday morning’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave a background update on the matter. Meltzer noted that he doesn’t have all the information and expects that Konnan will be addressing the matter soon. He reported that Konnan has been in “rough shape” for a somewhere around the last six weeks, the last time he was on AAA television.

It was noted that Konnan has been “in and out” of the hospital and “mostly in.” The former WCW United States and Television Champion has dealt with a variety of health issues over the years, noting back in 2022 that he had kidney issues. Again, there is no confirmation as to the specifics around his current health issues.
