Konnan Reportedly Hospitalized in San Diego, Underwent Leg Amputation & Still in ‘Delicate Health’

Mexican sports outlet RECORD initially reported that Konnan (nee Carlos Santiago Espada) was hospitalized this week, and he underwent a leg amputation. It’s also said he’s in “delicate health” at the moment, and he may have to have his other leg amputated.

There were initially conflicting reports regarding Konnan’s health status, as an initial social media post by user Kung Fu Jr. suggested that Konnan may have died. It was later confirmed that Konnan is alive, but in critical condition. RECORD cited its report by columnist @elplanchitas, who reported, “I can confirm that Carlos Santiago Espada (62 years old) had a leg amputated.
