WWE Superstar CM Punk is currently involved in a major storyline with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens over the WWE Undisputed Title. However, he doesn’t currently have a matchup scheduled for WWE Money in the Bank 2026, and he’s also not advertised for the premium live event. A new report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has more details on the subject.
According to the report, there’s “uncertainty” around Punk’s status for Money in the Bank. One source informs WrestleVotes that Punk was at one point discussed to work the October premium live event, but that’s “no longer certain at this time.”
During last week’s WWE SmackDown, Punk got involved during Sami Zayn’s WWE Title defense against Kevin Owens. He blasted Owens with the title belt before Zayn eventually scored the win to retain the belt. After the match concluded, Punk attacked Zayn and hit him with the Go 2 Sleep.
Although Punk isn’t currently scheduled or advertised for next month’s WWE Money in the Bank, he is confirmed for this weekend’s WWE x AAA Worlds Collider show. As previously reported, CM Punk advertised to compete in a six-man tag team bout, teaming with Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano against the team of Omos, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio at the upcoming event.
WWE x AAA Worlds Collide takes place on Saturday (Sept. 26) at the Allstate Arena in Punk’s native Chicago. Broadcast details have not yet been announced for the event.
