Keep Refreshing For The Latest Results

Hello AEW fans! It’s Saturday night and…we know what that means! Jeremy Thomas here, I am not Theo because as you may have seen last week, he’s stepping back from weekly coverage. We will definitely miss him and he will still be around from time to time. Don’t worry; you’re not being subjected to my live coverage full-time. I’m just filling in, and we’ll have a new regular Collision live coverage person next week!

Tonight’s show will see TWO title matches, as Divine Dominion defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against TayJay while The Conglomeration put the Trios Championships on the line against LFI. Plus, Persephone takes on Hazuki in a Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Quarterfinal Match. We also have Clark Connors vs. Juice Robinson and Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & PAC repping the Death Riders against Shane Taylor Promotions. Should be a fun show, so let’s jump into it.

As a reminder, the GoFundMe for Larry’s kids is still active and if you can make a donation, that would be awesome. Thank you so much to everyone who’s done so thus far.

* We’re LIVE in Youngstown, Ohio! And we’re kicking off with the Women’s World Tag Team Championship match.

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Match
Divine Dominion vs. TayJay

Anna Jay and Megan Bayne are starting off. They start off and Megan pie-faces Anna, who responds. Back kick by Anna, whip into the ropes reversed and Megan with a shoudler tackle. Into the ropes, Bayne gets Anna in a bear hug, buts her in the shoulder but Jay with a kick. Bulldog attempt blocked, Bayne tags in Kross — Divine Intervention countered and Jay lays into both women before tagging in Melo!

TayJay double team Kross, diving clothesline and running knee, Bayne goes to break it up and Melo moves to Bayne splashes Kriss! Divine Dominion go for suplexes but TayJay float over, they sent the champs to the floor and go up top — double dive onto the champions! And we’re on break.

We’re back and Divine Dominion are dominating Anna in the corner. Double kicks and a German suplex from Megan, cover gets two. Jay slammed into the hostile corner, Kross tags in and Anna goes for the tag but is blocked, Kross with a shot to the back. Jay tossed into the corner, Kross charges in but Jay dodges and hits a bulldog.

Hot tag to Melo! Bayne is in and gets battered by punches and a back elbow. Tay dodges a charge in the corner, running knee, charging pump kicks! And Melo stomps a mudhole into Bayne! Bayne escapes a swinging neckbreaker but takes a knee, hammerlock DDT gets two-plus.

Anna Jay tags back in, Bayne decks then both and Kross tags in. Champs put in the corner, TayJay charge in for alternating charging shots, double DDT, cover but Bayne breaks it up! Melo on the floor, double-team pump kick and Tay makes the save. Big strikes all around, Bayne knocks down Jay and all four are down!

Jay and Kross are up in the ring, they trade shots. Kross gets Jay on her shoulder — Jay with a rear naked choke but Bayne breaks it up. Melo sent to the outside and Bayne follows — Jay with a Queenslayer in the ring! Kross is close to passing up but she powers up and puts Jayn in the corner. Bayne knocks her down behind the ref’s back. Divine Intervention ends it.

Winner: Divine Dominion (10:30)
Rating: ***
Thoughts: Perfectly solid opener to the show. I would have been happy to see TayJay win but am not mad about Bayne and Kross still as champions.

* We are remimnded of the Owen Hart Tournament brackets, and then get a vignette hyping Swerve Strickland vs. Brody King for next week.

* The Don Callis Family are beating up fuckers in the background as Trent and Rocky talk about dumping Takeshita and adding Kevin Knight. They say that have new clothes from Callis and Takeshita just has a backpack? Good luck with his new friends.

Shane Taylor vs. Alan Angels

Taylor takes it to Angels right off the bat and batters him in the corner. Big slap to the chest, he talks shit and then charges into a boot. Angels gets some shots in, comes off the ropes and dodges a swing, springboard into a BIG punch. Package piledriver for three.

Winner: Shayne Taylor (1:08)
Rating: N/A
Thoughts: RIP Alan Angels.

* Taylor gets a mic and says for years, the Death Riders have been AEW’s most violent group and their reputation has preceded them. They’ve been willing to go as far as they need to, but all that ends. Right now, STP will be the most violent group AEW has ever seen. Shane says Moxley said it was simple: if they wanted what he has, they just have to beat his ass. Taylor’s taking that bet and tells Mox to get his crew down here.

Death Riders vs. Shane Taylor Promotions

Taylor has joined commentary for this match. Mox and Moriarty start off and circle before the lockup. Mox with a wristlock, Moriarty goes through for a headliock but gets flipped over for the break. Moriarty with some transitions into a takedown wristlock. Mox is back up, rolls through and reverses, chop puts Lee down. But Moriarty backs him into the hostile corner and the Infantry attack

Bravo in and hits some jabs and rights on Mox in the corner. Chop and Mox walks across the ring, another chop — and Mox reverses to beat some sense into Bravo! 10 count of punches and a thumb to the eye! Wristlock by Mox, PAC tags in and nails Bravo. Takedown by PAC and a clothesline in the corner, cover gets one.

Chop by PAC, Claudio tags in and BIG Euro uppecut. Claudi picks Pravo up with a waistlock, tosses him over and covers for two but Moriarty breaks it up. Bravo is fighting out of it but gets decked by Claudio chops in the corner and a big right hand puts Bravo on the mat. Bravo backs Claudio into his corner, triple team — and the Death Riders to the rescue! It breaks down into chaos, all six man battling around the ring as we go to break.

We’re back and the Infantry are working over PAC. Cover by Shawn Dean, gets two. PAC thrown into the corner, Bravo tags in for a 10-count of punches and a bit to the head in order to mock Mox. (Heh, mock Moax.) The Infantry with a elevated shoulder tackle to the midsection, lariat gets two-plus.

Dean with a chinlock to PAC, who fights his way to his feet. He knocks Dean down and goes for the tag but STP all pull him back. Bravo tags in, Dean whips him into a splash and then whips him in again for a fake out into a punch. Bravo showboats and hits a Bronco Buster. Moxley attacks on the outside but gets double teamed, Moriarty charges in at PAC in the corner — PAC MOVES! Snap German suplex and Claudio gets the hot tag! He clears house and batters Bravo as the ref tries to pull him off. Snapmare off the top, he goes for the Giant Swing but no, he’s going for the cradle piledriver. Moriatty jumps on his back but gets knocked down. Giant swing, Moxley with a dropkick. It’s chaos! PAC tags inand goes up top.

Taylor dfistracts the ref and Adora shoves Claudio off the top! Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garciua is here! Adora has a chair and takes aim — MARINA IS HERE! She kicks Adora down and smacks Christyan XO, who was distracting the ref! Pac and the ref are gighting for the chair as the Death Riders run a train on Bravo! PAC off the ropes and hits the big lariat — BRUTALIZER! That’s it!

Winner: Death Riders (14:43)
Rating: *** 1/2
Thoughts: A good, chaotic mess of the match that made STP look good despite the loss. Verty crowd-pleasing stuff here.

* We get a recap of Dynamite with all the people taking aim at MJF, Mercedes Mone’s return, Thekla declaring death to STARDOM, Kevin Knight joining the DCF, and Ospreay beating Mark Davis in the Owen Hart Tournament.

Tommaso Ciampa vs. BEEF

Test of strength offered, and of course Ciampa instead kicks BEEF in the cut. But BEEF back with a dropkick. He charges in for a clothesline in the corner, sends him across and hits another.

Bulldog blocked by Ciampa, who hits a knee and then a charging exposed knee. Walls of Ciampa gets the win.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa (1:19)
Rating: N/A
Thoughts: RIP BEEF.

Ciampa attacks BEEF post-match and then tells Schiavone to let Jericho know he’s cominng for him. He puts BEEF in the Walls on the outside and tells Tony to tell everyone he’s better than Jericho or he’ll break BEEF’s back. Tony does it but not well enough, so he has to do it again. Ciampa takes the mic and says Schiavone is 100 years old and knows Jericho better than anyone. He addresses the camera and tells Jericho the Psycho Killer is coming for him.

* Commotion in the back, and we find that Trish Adora pulls the cameraman in front of Taylor. He asks Mox if he’s his brother’s keeper and if so, says he’s failed. He reveals a downed Wheeler YUTA and says he can blame Mox. Taylor says they’re in Mox’s hometown so they can find out how dirty they can get. He says “let’s rumble, bad man” and throws YUTA into the rolling door.

* Backstage, The Dogs beat someone up and then come out for Connors’ match.

Clark Connors vs. Juice Robinson

Connors attacks Juice to start and stomps him down, then chocks him for a three out of five count. Thesz press and mounted punches by Connors, who tals shit to the crowd — and Juice with a double leg takedown and his own punches! Juice with a headbutt and another, whip into the ropes and an armdrag, bodyslam and an inverted atomic drop. Russian legsweep for two.

Juice with some jabs and Connors escapes to the outside. He turns around to Juice lifting his leg and flinches. Connors tries to get in the ring and gets knocked down on the outside, but he comes back by putting Robinson’s head into the ringpost followed by a toss back into the guardrail. Connors burns some matches and throws them down onto Juice! Kick to Juice and a thrown elbow, followed by apunch that sends Juice to the ringsteps where he gets his head slammed down.

Back in the ring finally, Connors with a punch to Juice in the corner and another. A third, and a whip across the ring hard into the corner as we go to break.

We’re back as Connors with a knee lift, but Robinson fires back with a punch. They’re trading blows! Juice with a big chop, he goes into the ropes but gets POUNCED by Connors! Cover gets two-plus.

Connors with some jabs to Juice but they wake Mr. Toni Storm up! Juice with a number of knocdowns and a back senton. Jabs and chops to Connors, he gets backed up by the ref and charges into a cannonball. POWERBOMB! One, two, thr-NO! Robinson sets Connors up for the Killswitch, but Connors shoves him into the ropes and hits a powerslam for a nearfall.

Connors up and lies in wait — Juice leapfrogs the spear, plants Connors and then clotheslines him to the floor! Juice dives over the top onto Connors, brings him in — Finlay is out here! Juice nails him and gets a leg lariat coming into the ring on Connors! Juicey Jabs, big left hand! He goes for Pulp Friction, Connors ducks, into the ropes — Finlay with the shilleleigh! Connors with a spear for the win.

Winner: Juice Robinson (13:04)
Rating: ** 3/4
Thoughts: I thought this was fine, but it went a little longer than it needed to and lost some steam in the second act. Not awful by any means, but this would have been an easy three stars-plus at 10 minutes.

The Bang Bang Gang make the save for Juice as The Dogs high-tail it.

* We get a preview of the upcoming Survival of the Fittest match. Shida complains how when she came back, everyone acted like they were better than her, but she is the best joshi of all itme and will win Survival of the Fittest. Kris says that she was warned about Shida and she found out who she was, but Shida found out who she was. Survival of the Fittest is named for who she is. Mina and Harley talk about how they are going to win and argue a bit in a sexy way. Aminata says she’ll be the last woman standing and has her eyes set on the TBS Championship. Zayda Steel says she did Survival of the Fittest and wants to do it again.
