Zaria delivered a stellar performance at NXT Great American Bash 2026 and ensured she continues to reign as the Women’s North American Champion.
Tonight’s PLE saw Zaria defend her recently won North American Title against former champion Tatum Paxley in a rematch. The bitter rivals didn’t even wait for the bell to ring as he exchanged punches following a tug of war with the belt.
After throwing their best shots at each other, the tug of war with the belt ensued again after Tatum flattened the Australian with a Powerbomb off the apron. Tatum got the better of the exchange, as she hit the champ with a Rolling Kick before executing the Cemetery Drive on the floor.
Paxley dragged Zaria to the ring and followed it up with another Cemetery Drive. However, the champ managed to get her shoulder up on time. Tatum went for another, but this time, the powerhouse countered it. Though she couldn’t execute the F-5 initially, Zaria was able to do so after she flattened Paxley with a vicious Spear. However, this time, Tatum kicked out.
A frustrated Zaria then rained down blows on Tatum and followed it up with a deadly Stomp. She then delivered another F-5 to secure the pinfall and retain the Women’s North American Title. This was Zaria’s first televised title defense. She captured the championship from Tatum Paxley on the June 9 episode of WWE NXT.
