Zaria Captures Women’s North American Title In WWE NXT Main Event

Zaria is the new NXT Women’s North American Champion, laying claim to the title on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. The main event of Tuesday’s show saw Tatum Paxley defend her title against Zaria. Paxley had agreed to defend the championship on last week’s show.
Paxley nearly caught Zaria with a pinfall to start the match, but the challenger quickly took control with her power offense. Paxley battled back and proved resilient, with the match going just under 11 minutes.
Toward the end of the match, Paxley hit a coast-to-coast for a nearfall. Zaria was able to battle back, avoiding the Cemetery Drive. The action went to the floor where Zaria hit an F5, then brought Paxley into the ring for a spear. Another F5 resulted in the pinfall victory for Zaria to win the title.
You can see clips from the WWE NXT match below. This marks Zaria’s first title reign in NXT and ends Paxley’s run with the title at 94 days. She defeated Izzi Dame for the championship at NXT Vengeance Day in March.
