Finn Balor & Gunther Come To Blows After Confrontation On WWE Smackdown

Finn Balor and Gunther amped up their feud by brawling after an in-ring promo segment on this week’s WWE SmackDown. Balor and Gunther had a face-to-face confrontation on Friday night’s show after Balor brought back The Demon on last week’s episode with help from Danhausen and went after the Career Killer.

Gunther appeared in the ring and cut a promo, saying that he wasn’t afraid of the Demon last week and just freaked out. He said he had been trying to do everyone a favor by getting rid of Danhausen and that now everything he’s said about Balor is true and that he’s just barely hanging onto his career. Gunther said that Balor was just trying to squeeze the last drops of his career out by putting on face paint and making friends with Danhausen, noting that he used to respect Balor but not anymore.

Gunther called Balor out, and the latter came to the ring. He said he doesn’t know what he taps into when he becomes The Demon, but he put Gunther through a table last week. He said that if Gunther wanted the real Balor, then he had him, and that he was done waiting.

The two then began brawling, and Balor ultimately took over. Gunther went for a powerbomb at one point, but Balor countered into a Sling Blade followed by a dropkick that sent Gunther retreating.

You can see clips from the segment below. Balor vs. Gunther was reportedly scheduled for WWE Crown Jewel originally, but it has yet to be announced.
