Rey Mysterio Announces Traditional Survivor Series Tag Match For WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2026

AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio has announced a huge matchup for the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event. Mysterio appeared on the latest episode of What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon, where he announced a five vs. five Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match between Team USA and Team Mexico for the upcoming event.

Rey said, “I had a couple of words with Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis, and we are going to put together something very special. A classic five vs. five Survivor Series match at Survivor Series, where it will be Team USA vs. Team Mexico.”

That said, Rey Mysterio didn’t reveal if he would participate in the match, stating that plans are still being worked out.

The 40th annual Survivor Series is scheduled for Saturday, November 28, at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas. As has been the case since 2022, the Men’s and Women’s WarGames matches will dominate proceedings at the marquee PLE.
