RUSH was off of TV for a few weeks following his AEW World Championship match against MJF, and a new report answered a fan question about the matter. The AEW star had a well-received match with MJF on the June 3rd episode of AEW Dynamite. MJF won the match, but RUSH proveds to be a difficult challenger and MJF has put him over in interviews since. That match was followed up by an AEW World Trios title match on the June 6th episode of AEW Collision, in which La Facción Ingobernable were unable to take home the titles.

However, LFI member did not compete after that until the July 1st episode of AEW Collision. That led to a fan question to Fightful Select Answers Q&A asking if his status was affected by the work visa issues that caused Mark Davis, Gabe Kidd, Komander and others to miss shows.

According to the report, there’s no indication that RUSH was caught up in the work visa situation. Sean Ross Sapp noted that the plan was always to give RUSH some victories and momentum into the World Title match, and to give MJF a win while adding to RUSH’s legitimacy as a contender. While there’s no word as to why he was off TV after that, the build to the MJF match happened the way it was planned.
