Sheamus Now Reportedly a Free Agent, Note On AEW’s Interest

Sheamus is now believed to be a free agent, with a new report giving context on interest in AEW regarding him. It was reported previously that the former WWE star was set to become a free agent as of October 1st, which is it now obviously is.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that, as has been noted previously, there is expected to be interest from AEW in Sheamus. More specifically, the outlet spoke with sources who said there are some AEW talent who are in favor of him singing on with the company.

Sheamus exited the company after he turned down a “restructured” contract extension. The New Level also exited WWE earlier this year rather than accept a new contract with heavy pay cuts.

No word on when (or if) Sheamus may end up appearing in AEW.
