AEW Console Game Reportedly Has Tentative Release Date

AEW has a preliminary release date set for their console game, according to a new report. Fightful Select reports that the game, which has been in development for a while, has a tentative release date for late September.

It should be noted that this was stressed as tentative and not set at all in stone. The site reports that there is still a lot of work to be done, but that the plan has been to release the game in 2022 for a while and that September is “widely” considered to be the target. The report notes that the first indication of a potential release date being set was when some AEW talent indicated that they may have signed too late to be included in the game’s first run.

There is said to be a publisher involved, though it has obviously not been officially announced. The site says that announcement should be expected “fairly soon if all goes well” although as always, a lot of things could change between now and the release date.
