New Tales From the Borderlands Game Announced
Tales From the Borderlands is making its return, this time apparently without Telltale Games attached. Gearbox Software and 2K Games have announced that a new entry in the game is coming and will be released this year.
The game, set within the Borderlands universe, was released in 2014 through Telltale Games before that company eventually collapsed in 2018. While Telltale has made a return, they will seemingly not be involved as they were not mentioned in the announcement.
The first season of the game followed a former Hyperion employee and a con artist, though a video captured from PAX East in which Gearbox Entertainment Company CEO Randy Pitchford announced the game said it would feature new characters and stories in the universe. He described the game as an “all new game,” which means it won’t be a sequel or second “season” of the first game.
There are more stories to explore in the #Borderlands universe. An all new Tales from the Borderlands adventure is coming in 2022 from @GearboxOfficial and @2K.
