Dana White Says Fedor vs. Brock Lesnar Was The Fight That Got Away

– In an interview with UFC.com, Dana White revealed the one fight he wasn’t able to make.

“The only fight that I wanted to make that was never made was Brock Lesnar versus Fedor Emelianenko. We were going to do it at Texas Stadium. But I couldn’t get a deal done with Fedor, so it never happened.”

White had multiple chances to sign Fedor throughout his career. Fedor was a free agent following UFC buy PRIDE and the closing of Affliction. Dana tried to set up the Lesnar vs. Fedor fight in 2009 and 2012 after Fedor had retired. Fedor came out of retirement in 2015. He recently defeated Rampage Jackson in Bellator MMA. Lesnar is the current WWE Champion.
