Dana White Says a Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor Rematch Would Only Happen Via MMA Rules

Dana White says that if Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor face off again, it will have to be in the Octagon. White spoke about speculation around the fight on UFC Tonight (via MMA Fighting and said that any potential rematch of their rivals’ boxing match last year would be under MMA rules.

“Obviously, the only way making that fight again makes any sense is if he comes over to the Octagon,” White said. “We went over and boxed him, the UFC and Conor McGregor. And now it’s time for him to reciprocate and come fight in the Octagon.”

White added, “Floyd said leading up to the fight with Conor that he would do both [boxing and MMA]. So we’ll see what happens.”
