Karolina Kowalkiewicz Wants a Rematch With Joanna Jedrzejcyzk in Poland

Speaking at the post-fight press conference at UFC 205 (via MMAjunkie), UFC women’s strawweight contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz spoke to reporters on her title loss to Joanna Jedrzejcyzk. Kowalkiewicz lost a five-round unanimous decision to the reigning champion. Below are some highlights from the presser:

Her thoughts on the fight: “I was so close (to finishing), I know it. … I think she didn’t expect that I am so tough.”

On what it felt like to fight for five rounds: “I feel really good. I’m a little bit sad and angry because I was so close during this fight. But I feel good. It was a good fight. I do what I love, so it’s OK. I am part of something big. And this is something amazing. The energy from these people is something great.”

On wanting a rematch in Poland: “I’ll beat her next time. Rematch in Poland.”
