Kevin Lee Out of UFC 264 Bout Due to Injury

June 27, 2021 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

ESPN reports that Kevin Lee has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled welterweight bout against Sean Brady at UFC 264 due to a rib injury. Lee informed ESPN that he suffered a rib injury recently, and he won’t be able to face Brady for the upcoming fight card scheduled for next month.

According to Kevin Lee, he is looking to heal up the injury and still face Brady in August at UFC 265. Sean Brady initially announced the fight cancellation on his Instagram. He also expressed hope that the fight could be rebooked to August.

UFC 264 is slated for July 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the T-Mobile arena. UFC 265 is set for August 7. It does not yet have a host city and venue.

Brady is currently 4-0 in the UFC and undefeated in his MMA career at 14-0. Lee is looking to rebound after a March 2020 loss to Charles Oliveira in a scheduled lightweight bout where Lee failed to make weight at UFC on ESPN+ 28.
