Michael Bisping to Join the UFC Hall of Fame
Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is the first member of the 2019 UFC Hall of Fame class. The UFC announced on Saturday that Bisping, who held the middleweight title from June of 2016 to November of 2017, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Bisping had a 10 – 0 professional record before he began his UFC run in 2006, when he won season three of The Ultimate Fighter. He built a name for himself in the company with wins over major fighters like Dan Miller, Brian Stann, and Anderson Silva. He defended his middleweight title successfully against Dan Henderson at UFC 204 before Georges St-Pierre defeated him for the belt at UFC 217. He remains the sole British fighter to win a UFC title to date.
Bisping will be inducted at a ceremony on July 5th in Las Vegas, during International Fight Week.
