21-7 Welterweight Neil Magny is officially off the card for UFC Fight Night 152. He was planned to face Vicente Luque at the event in Rochester, New York, but has been pulled for undisclosed reasons. This was initially reported by MMAJunkie and confirmed two nights ago by UFC officials to MMAWeekly.

Luque himself was a replacement, as originally a fight between Magny and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos was penciled in. After dos Santos declared that he had not been contacted for the match, Luque was announced to face Magny instead, but they are now looking to find a suitable opponent for Luque in his absence. With less than a week before the event occurs on May 18th, 2019, it’s a tight deadline to say the least, and Luque may have to wait to fight on a later date.

While the reasons for Magny taken off the card aren’t clear and shouldn’t be speculated upon, we would like to wish him the best.
