Sean Strickland was injured over the weekend in a motorcycle accident. The UFC welterweight announced the news on Instagram, according to MMAjunkie.

According to the site, Strickland wrote that he was coming home from a training session when he was hit by a vehicle while going along at high speed:

I was riding back from Kings (MMA), and I got in an accident. It wasn’t my fault, but I’ve been blacked out for a good minute. I just came to after surgery. It’s going to be a long road back, but I love fighting, so I’ll get back on the ball and make it happen. Thanks for the support.

Strickland last fought at UFC Fight Night 138, where he beat Nordine Taleb by second-round TKO. He was in the process of recovering from knee surgery.

On behalf of 411, our best wishes to Mr. Strickland for a full and quick recovery.
