411’s D23 Expo Disney Films Panel Report: Tom Holland Breaks Silence On Sony/Marvel Issues, Frozen 2, More

411 was in attendance at the D23 Expo panel for Walt Disney’s upcoming films, including Pixar, Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios. You can see highlights below, as well as live tweets from our coverage of the event.

* Black Panther 2 will be released on May 6, 2020.
* Kit Harington has joined the cast of The Eternals as Dane Whitman, also known as the Black Knight.
* Keri Russell’s character in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is named Zorri Bliss. She will be a criminal that is an “old friend” of Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac).
* Black Widow is currently still in production, so its stars were unable to make D23.
* Pixar announced a film called Onward, which features the voices of Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Octavia Spencer
* Tom Holland broke his silence about the Sony/Marvel situation, although he only said that it’s been a “crazy week” and that he loves his fans.
* Dual trailers were shown for Jungle Cruise from the two leads’ (The Rock and Emily Blunt) perspectives, but Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production president Sean Bailey said neither were the official trailer.
