A Quiet Place: Day One Trailer Teases the Sci-Fi Horror Franchise’s Origins

The Quiet Place universe expand in June with the spinoff A Quiet Place: Day One, and the first trailer for the film previews the franchise’s beginnings. Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for the spinoff film on Wednesday, and you can check it out below.

The trailer reminds us briefly of the events of the two main franchise A Quiet Place films and their silent terror before taking us back to the first day in the middle of New York City, where the series’ signature alien monsters crash down. Caught in the middle of it all is Lupita Nyong’o’s character, who finds herself trying to survive as the chaos unfolds.

The film is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig) from a story he come up with alongside franchise creator John Krasinski. It stars Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou and releases on June 28th. At this point, synopsis simply reads:
