Adeline Rudolph Joins Mortal Kombat 2 As Kitana

The fighter roster for Mortal Kombat 2 is continuing to expand, with the role of Kitana now cast. THR reports that Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Resident Evil) will play the princess in the upcoming sequel

Rudolph joins a cast that includes Tati Gabrielle as Jade and Karl Urban as Johnny Cage. It is expected that some of the cast from the 2021 film will reprise their roles in the film, which Simon McQuoid is back to direct from a script by Jeremy Slater.

The film will follow up on the events of the 2021 film, which released in the middle of theaters starting to reopen from the pandemic lockdown and grossed $84.4 million. No release date is set for the sequel as of yet.
