Ahsoka Season 2 Trailer Teases War With Grand Admiral Thrawn, Anakin Skywalker’s Return as a Force Ghost

The Walt Disney Company kicked off D23: The Ultimate Fan Event with its Entertainment Showcase at the Honda Center last night. During the Lucasfilm portion of the presentation, Lucasfilm President and Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni took the stage along with stars Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and Eman Esfandi to debut the teaser trailer for Season 2 of Ahsoka, which you can check out below.

Season 2 of the hit series debuts in January 2027 on Disney+. In the new season, having finally escaped from the other galaxy and planet Peridea in the first season, Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) is back and declares war on the New Republic.

Also in the new season, Ahsoka Tano (Dawson) confronts what it means to be a Jedi, and she receives unlikely help from the Force Ghost of her old master, Anakin Skywalker (Christensen). As Ahsoka and her Jedi apprentice Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) travel across a mysterious and perilous world to find their way home, their friends Hera (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Ezra (Esfandi), Zeb (Steve Blum), and Chopper (Filoni) must confront Thrawn and his dangerous allies as they seek to plunge the New Republic into war.

In the new season, Rory McCann also joins the cast, replacing the late Ray Stevenson as the dark Jedi Baylan Skoll. Ahsoka Season 2 debuts on January 20, 2027, exclusively on Disney+.
