Alien: Earth Brings the Terror Home in Official Trailer

FX Networks debuted the official trailer today for the highly anticipated new series, Alien: Earth. The long-awaited series debuts on August 12 on FX and Hulu. You can check out the newly revealed trailer below.
In the new series, a deep space research vessel, the USCSS Magino, crash-lands on Earth. Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planets greatest threat imaginable.
The series is set in the year 2120, two years before the events of the original 1979 feature. At the time of the setting, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. In this corporate era, cyborgs (humans with both biological and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) exist alongside humans. However, there’s been a new technological breakthrough in robots, when the Founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation unlocks hybrids, which are humanoid robots infused with a human consciousness.
Series protagonist Wendy is the first hybrid prototype, marking a new dawn in the race for immortality. After the USCSS Magino, a Weyland-Yutani ship, crashes into Prodigy City, Wendy and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined. Notably, the new trailer teases other alien specimens and creatures besides the famous Xenomorphs appearing in the show.
The cast also features Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, Adrian Edmondson, David Rysdahl, Essie Davis, Lily Newmark, Erana James, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Kit Young, Diêm Camille, Moe Bar-El, and Sandra Yi Sencindiver.
The upcoming series is created for television and executive produced by Noah Hawley. Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Joseph Iberti, Dana Gonzales and Clayton Krueger also serving as executive producers. Alien: Earth is produced by FX Productions.
